KJ 14th Annual Heirloom Tomato Fest

This past saturday we fried heirloom green tomatoes at the Kendall Jackson Winery. We smoked wild boar bacon over applewood and blended it with Straus Organic yogurt and a little ranch style spice. Tis' good. This is an annual benefit where all proceeds go to school farm programing.
We were happy to be part of this great event. Thanks to all who came out and tasted the North Bay's Top Chef's tomato inspired dishes.

Nugget Rib Cook Off

It was a dizzy doozy. Six days of Frickles anf Fried Green Tomatoes amongst the nation's top Rib cooking, smoking, grilling competitiors. We had our fill of ribs, pulled pork and brisket. A lot of rib bragging coming from all parts south, north, east and west. We couldn't taste them all but what we had was delish. Thank you rib fans for taking kind to us and waiting in the heat for both our Frickles and Fried Green Tomatoes. Reno Rocks!!
